Lately I have had family on my mind, a lot. It probably has something to do with Father's day. See this was my husband's first Father's Day without his Dad. I cant imagine how painful that was for him, yet he faced the day with smiles..but in his eyes I could see the hurt. Oh I tried to keep him busy, tried to make it a good day- but I knew he was mourning the loss of his amazing father. And that had me take a look at my own relationships with my zoo family. I see a lot of broken relationships there, a lot of hurts and offenses....and I see that I am not loving as Jesus would want me to. Here is the thing about love, it isn't love if we only give it when it's comfortable and convenient. Love means applying that word when one is being hateful, or spiteful or petty. It means accepting people in all their glory, screw ups, hang ups, issues and all! Love is not selective and love makes time even when it is inconvenient.  need to love my family better. I need to hold them a little tighter, and make time for them even when my heart is screaming YOU HURT ME. Thank you God for not loving me the way I have loved others!

I became a grandmother this month. I am thirty seven, and a grandmother. My daughter...my baby daughter- she is a mother now. And God help me I fear for her. And yet, I believe it will all be ok. I believe this because I know that God will work all things for the good of those who love him, and I do know that she loves HIM. But I pray, I pray so hard that the roads she chooses will make her life easier, not more complicated, and I pray that she fiercely loves this amazing bundle of boy that HE has given her.  I became a grandmother this month. I am thirty seven, and I am just learning how to be me...please God help me to be a good grandmother, and to love like You do!

It is amazing to me how wondorous it is that God intricately weaves each tiny details ofour lives FOR OUR GOOD! He truly supplies all of our needs. I feel awesomely blessed.
